The Role of Counselling



EAP On-site Support is synonymous with ITIM - since we began employee support services in Australia in 1960. We are proudly the market leader in this early pro-active intervention strategy. It requires a specific range of social and professional skills and is the most pro-active and preventative of the various approaches to employee support. It has in common many of the key principles of the tried and true business philosophy of "managing by walking around".

EAP On-site helps people resolve issues, problems and conflicts early before they get out of hand, and enables an organisation to contain associated risks, costs and disruptions to the work schedules.

Our counsellors work on your site among a 100% of your people in their day-to-day work environment and build trust and connections in the work community.

Between 30%-40% of your people will consult our On-site Counsellors in informal counselling, significant conversations and formal counselling.

It is an accessible and systematic enterprise-wide approach to corporate health which seeks to help organisations address some of the organisational causes of individual or group difficulties..

Work environments vary enormously from high rise offices to huge mines, from dispersed staff to high density sites. We have expertise in about every setting possible and have responded effectively and empathetically to every kind of incident, from the personal to the largest scale disasters which threaten the continuity of a business.
